is an EPSRC-funded Grand Challenge network aiming to gain unprecedented control of the assembly of molecules that are the building blocks of many functional materials, consumer and industrial products.
The aim is to understand the assembly of the very small, and through this to explore the methods that will allow production of new types of useful materials at a whole range of length scales from the nano-scale to the everyday.
Publications in the Directed Assembly article collection spanned the focus areas within this theme, and highlighted the latest developments being made towards realising the Grand Challenge.
